Mueller Electric becomes members of ISNetworld, maintaining our high standards for health and safety in the workplace.   

With the aid of ISNetworld, Mueller Electric has the ability ensure complete EH&S compliance within our organization. ISN's Review and Verification Services (RAVS) of our policies is expected to be completed by the summer of 2009, this is to also include our newly implementation of Alcohol and Drug testing policy.

Along with our current safety policies, Mueller Electric is also re-structuring our current EH&S management team. This also will put our company in a better position to offer a larger variety of in-house structured training and certification including CSA-Z462: Canada's new Arc Flash Safety Standard.

Safety Instruction and Facilities

Certified instructor, Don Tofsrud offers all employees both equipment and site safety training. This includes W.H.I.M.I.S, counter balance forklift, rough terrain forklift operations, motorized and electrical power lifts and HILTI power activation tools. All new employees receive the benefit of orientation and safety indoctrination.

Along with safety training of proper equipment use, Don also provides all supervisors and site managers with skills and training as required to properly oversee working crews. This includes documentation procedures for written and verbal warnings, drug and alcohol abuse awareness, personal planning, organizing and implantation of daily crew safety meetings, fall arrest and personal equipment check as well as site hazard recognition.

Mueller Electric is also proud to announce that Don has obtained his federal certification for CSA Approved lift truck instructor and has completed the ARC Flash and Low Voltage training.

In order to meet our clients needs these and other programs are currently available on site or at our Williams Lake based training facility.
